Warm and Walnut

Nestled beneath the canopy of magnificent Heritage Oak trees in Austin’s coveted Northwest Hills, this 1960s ranch underwent a stunning transformation. The full-scope renovation preserved the home’s mid-century stacked stone facade while reimagining its interior for modern living and entertaining.

The centerpiece of the renovation is the new, dramatic fifteen foot vaulted ceiling within the grand room; creating a spacious, airy atmosphere. Custom clerestory windows were designed to invite the outdoors in, enhancing the home's connection to the surrounding beautiful Texas landscape.

Our thoughtful design is a true blend of modern comfort and elegant simplicity - featuring light character oak flooring, custom slim shaker cabinetry in a rich walnut, and gorgeous Mont Blanc quartzite that seamlessly trail up the wall. The grand fireplace is finished in a sophisticated Roman clay by Portola Paints adding warmth and texture.

Quality craftsmanship and attention to detail was paramount throughout the entire project. The result is a harmonious living environment that embraces luxury and comfort, reflecting Austin’s unique blend of progressive design and natural beauty.

Handmade ceramics and textiles are featured throughout highlighting local businesses such as Apartment F, Nomads Loom, & La Embajada.
